When I was in middle and high school, I was really into drawing anime. I bought a bunch of those "How to draw Manga" books and was just genuinely pretty motivated. But I remember there were times I couldn't get it right, and so I'd throw away my drawings in the trash. I still remember that day my older sister (for some reason) dug through literal garbage, pulled out a drawing I did just to say: "Why does it look so weird?"
After that I felt pretty discouraged, coupled with the fact that art, according to everyone around me was just: "Something you were born with". So, here I am attempting to just...draw more. I've taken a liking to pixel art since I kinda like the idea of approximation. It's cute. And, its pretty nostalgic. So...here's my gallery of everything unrelated to my book. (for that, go here!) There's not much at the moment, but I hope to change that! Also, click on the images to enlarge them.
Pixel Panels
I think this was my attempt at combining short texts with pixel imagery. Initially had these posted on other social media, but big corpo sucks so...
Fan Art
Halsin is one of my first few (recent-ish) illustrations. Drawing again after so long really feels like starting all over, heh. He seems pretty lonely here. Who should I add to keep him company?
